Description
The main language of instruction will be English. The course will
focus on developing specific soft skills using computer games,
particularly on Adaptability and Flexibility; Critical Thinking;
Problem-solving; Teamwork; Time Management.
The course will consist of the following compulsory elements:
- Introductory online session explaining the purpose of the course and its workflow.
- Registering for participation and filling in the informed consent through the link provided by the consortium MEGASKILLS.
- Taking part in the initial soft skills assessment via questionnaire (1.5 – 2.5 hours).
- Gaming session (in total 15 hours) February 2024 – March 2024.
- Taking part in the closing soft skills assessment via questionnaire (1.5 – 2.5 hours).
- Submitting the received participation confirmation (provided by the
consortium MEGASKILLS) via MOODLE as proof of course participation.

- Preinstalled Steam platform (a free gaming platform for hosting computer games).

There will also be an optional on-site lecture (Olomouc, Czech
Republic) for both local and international students (Aurora Alliance) on
soft skills for the 21st century.

To develop specific soft skills of the course participants by playing selected computer games.

Short Description of the Organisation
Palacký University Olomouc (UP) is an
internationally respected and scientifically and academically highly
productive university in Central Europe. Founded 22 December 1573, it is
the second-oldest university in the Czech Republic and the oldest one
in Moravia. For 450 years it has contributed to the intellectual wealth of society and to its scientific, cultural, and social development.
