Description
This training course is part of the broader Emprove Project initiative, which uses art as a tool for social transformation, with a specific focus on empowerment, gender equality, and overcoming gender-based violence. The course draws from the Emprove Foundation’s experience and real-world artistic projects addressing complex societal challenges.
The training provides participants with an immersive and reflective learning experience, combining field visits, personal storytelling, and artistic expression. Through this, learners will gain new perspectives, enhance their empathy, and develop their capacity to create change in their own education contexts.
The course follows the principles of competence-oriented learning and validation, using the LEVEL5 system to help participants identify, develop, and reflect on a key transversal competence:
“Using creative expression for social impact and empowerment.”
Participants will be guided through individual and collaborative activities that lead to a deeper understanding of this competence — with reflection and self-assessment woven
European Dimension
The course will engage both participants from Sofia and aboard to create a deeper understanding of how different culture plays a role in education and gender equality.

Expected Outcome
By the end of the course, participants will have gained both practical and reflective competences in using art as a tool for social change within adult education contexts. Trainers and educators are expected to leave the programme with:

A deeper understanding of how creative expression can be applied to address complex societal issues such as gender equality, empowerment, and the prevention of gender-based violence.

First-hand experience with innovative methodologies including field visits, survivor storytelling, and collaborative art-based labs, enabling them to design more engaging and impactful learning activities.

Strengthened transversal competence in “using creative expression for social impact and empowerment,” validated through the LEVEL5 framework.

New perspectives and enhanced empathy, helping them to better connect with learners from diverse backgrounds and to foster inclusive, open-minded learning environments.

Certification
A certificate of attendance and LEVEL5 Competence Development certificate will be issued upon completion on the course.
