Description
This international workshop invites adult learners from diverse backgrounds to explore how learning and travelling abroad can become more inclusive — and how creative thinking can spark real change. Participants discover how Design Thinking, a method used by innovators worldwide, helps turn challenges into opportunities for inclusion.
Programme Description:
Over five days, participants work together in international teams to learn and apply the Design Thinking process. They explore real barriers to mobility learning, build empathy for others’ experiences, and develop fresh ideas for making travel and learning abroad more accessible.
Through hands-on teamwork, creative exercises, and a visit to a local organisation supporting people with disabilities, learners experience how innovation begins with understanding.
Why it’s relevant for disadvantaged learners:
This course offers a supportive, international learning environment for adults who face barriers to participation. It helps learners build confidence and creative skills to spot new opportunities and contribute to innovation in their communities. By learning how to think differently, participants gain the tools to shape more inclusive learning and mobility opportunities — for themselves and others.
European Dimension
This course strengthens the European dimension by fostering collaboration between sending and hosting organisations across multiple EU countries to support the inclusion of participants with diverse backgrounds.
