Description
This 3-day course equips participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to plan safe and inclusive mobilities, identify and manage risks,. Through a blended approach—combining interactive presentations, self-learning, and an immersive Augmented & Interactive Reality (A&IR) exercise—participants will learn how to assess threats, and create inclusive plans. The course emphasizes experiential learning, inclusive mobility considerations, and real-world application.
European Dimension
Yes, the course promotes European solidarity and values. It was developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ project TRAIL, which focuses on inclusive mobility and lifelong learning. The course integrates multi-cultural aspects by addressing travel security for diverse groups, including people with disabilities and fewer opportunities, and by fostering respect for cultural sensitivity during international travel.
Participants and trainers come from different European countries, creating an environment of cross-cultural exchange and collaboration. The course aligns with Erasmus+ priorities by:

1. Foundations of Travel Security: Introduction to Travel Security and Risk Awareness, Context Analysis and Information Gathering
2. Journey Planning and Inclusive Strategies: Journey Planning Essentials, Inclusive Mobility and Practical Tips, Case study analysis and collaborative planning exercise
3. Immersive Practice: Immersive exercise, Debriefing and Reflection
Expected Outcome
Knowledge Development
- Participants will demonstrate understanding of potential challenges before and during travel, including socio-political, health, and cultural contexts.
- They will know how to collect relevant travel information and differentiate between threats and risks.
Skill Acquisition
- Participants will be able to plan a mobility activity considering diverse needs and security requirements.
- They will create a basic travel security plan, including medical, communication, and accommodation components.
