Train-the-Trainer
Course for youth workers to address climate lies and myths in an informal,
playful way in youth clubs and other places where young people meet to increase
critical thinking skills in young people and provide the communication skills
necessary to debunk the lies and act as climate ambassadors.
The course
will be delivered through different methods such as group work, discussion and
reflective rounds, seeking to promote the active participation of participants
by inviting them to share their experience, knowledge and personal resources in
regards to empowering young people in critical thinking, gamified learning and
informal learning in youth work.
European Dimension
The course was developed and tested within
the European project "SLACC Stop lies about climate change" carried out by a consortium of seven partners from seven
EU-countries.
Tentative Program & Schedule
The course

Expected Outcome
- be
aware of problems arising from fake news related to climate change
- know
the most widely spread climate myths and the facts to counter them
- be
able to implement a number of activities and tools to empower young people to
debunk climate myths and lies and increase their critical thinking
- be
able to prepare young people to become climate ambassadors and defend our
planet from destructive practices.
