Description

The course includes the following modules: 1. Culture, Diversity & Raising Awareness 2. Intercultural Communication 3. Eating, Drinking, Celebrating, Fasting 4. Aging, Dying, Death 5. Body, Gender, Sex, Intimacy 6. Pregnancy, Parenthood, Children, Family Structures 7. Disability, Psychology & Mental Problems 8. Dealing with Pain 9. Working in Culturally Diverse Teams 10. Creating own Learning Materials 11.   Validation of Intercultural Training Each module goes along with some background information, learning activities and good practice examples. Material will be provided to be used in your own trainings. At the end of the course you will design your own training offer adapted to the needs of your target group.


European Dimension

This course is a result of a European project. Perspectives of different European countries are though included in the course material. The course will be held in English. It will be open to participants from all European countries. Exchange between the participants will be facilitated within the course. The course offers possibilities for networking among the participants.


Tentative Program & Schedule

Day 1: Culture, Diversity and Raising Awareness

Day 2: Intercultural communication

Day 3+4: Modules 3-9 according to wishes of the participants

Visit of the Göttingen Christmas market at the end of day 3 or 4

Day 5: Creating own learning material and validation of intercultural training

Certification

You will receive a certificate for participation and a Level 5 competence development certificate
