Description
This 2.5-day interactive training course equips secondary school teachers and trainers with the knowledge, tools and methodologies to integrate Intergenerational Learning (IGL) and Citizen Science (CS) into sustainability education.
Participants will explore how schools can connect classroom learning with household practices, engage families in environmental action, and strengthen students’ scientific literacy and transversal skills.
The course combines theoretical input, hands-on digital tools, collaborative design processes and structured action planning. By the end of the training, participants will have developed a concrete school-based implementation plan.
The course is highly participatory and includes:
· Interactive presentations
· Hands-on exploration of Citizen Science tools
· Design Thinking workshops
· Peer exchange & World Café discussions
· Collaborative action planning
· Reflection & feedback sessions
European Dimension
The course was developed and tested within the European IL4SH project (Intergenerational Learning for Sustainable Households), which was carried out by a consortium of six partners from four EU countries. NGOs, training institutes and schools.
