Short Description of the Organisation

The Digital Inclusion Resource Center (CRID) was established in 2006 at the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. As a priority service supporting the community in the area of digital accessibility, we have a fully equipped space with devices adapted for citizens with specific needs.

Our center and support services are intended for all citizens with specific needs and their families, as well as institutions, schools, and professionals working in the field and interested in it.

Our mission is based on promoting the social inclusion of people with specific needs through the use of assistive technologies and support products within the scope of digital accessibility. We have various technological resources and also provide advice on the respective support tools, demonstrating support to the academic community and civil society. By combining multiple scientific areas, we also intend to study the potential for development and innovation of accessible technologies.
